Robinia sheep fencing: durable and robust

Our wood stands the test of time!

Our favorite wood for creating sheep fencing is Robinia, also known as acacia. Robinia is one of the most durable European hardwoods — and that’s exactly why we’re such fans.

The wood is naturally resistant to rot, insects, and weather, all without any chemical treatment. With a lifespan of at least 20 years, Robinia is a smart investment for any outdoor project — including yours!

Besides its quality, we also love the natural look of Robinia wood. We machine-split these slats, giving them that rustic, robust appearance. The slats are woven together with galvanized steel wire (1.8 mm thick) into sturdy rolls, available in lengths of 5 meters.

Besides Robinia, we also work with Chestnut. But what’s the difference?

Compared to Robinia wood, Chestnut is:

Slightly softer
A bit rougher and different in color
Also Durable, lasting aroudn 15 to 20 years in the ground
